Ten Days Left to Help The Cheesecake Factory Donate 3.5 Million Meals to Feeding America During Hunger Action Month

Complimentary Slice of Cheesecake for Every $5 Donation and a Chance to Meet American Idol Season 9 Winner Lee DeWyze at The Cheesecake Factory in Hollywood

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif., Sep 20, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- In recognition of Hunger Action Month this September, The Cheesecake Factory has launched a multi-faceted "Share Your Voice" campaign to raise awareness about the problem of hunger in America by supporting Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization.

The Cheesecake Factory is committed to raising 3.5 million meals for Feeding America this September and is encouraging guests to make a pledge to take action in one of several ways. At the special "Share Your Voice" website, http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/share, visitors can pledge to donate food, volunteer their time, write to elected officials, advocate to friends and donate money to Feeding America. As a thank you for making a donation of $5 or more to Feeding America through this website in September, The Cheesecake Factory will provide an e-Slice redeemable for a complimentary slice of cheesecake*.

The Cheesecake Factory is also asking guests to "Share Your Voice" by singing for the chance to meet American Idol Season 9 Winner and Hunger Action Month Spokesperson Lee DeWyze at The Cheesecake Factory in Hollywood. Hopeful singers can submit a video performance of the soulful classic "Lean on Me" which can be submitted online at http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/share until September 30. In true American Idol fashion, America will have the opportunity to vote online for the top four singers from October 8 - 17, 2010 and the Grand Prize winner will be announced on October 18, 2010.

The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than $1.2 million to Feeding America over the past two years which equates to approximately 8.4 million meals.
