Cheesecake Factory Incorporated (Nasdaq: CAKE) announces the opening
of its 60th Cheesecake Factory(R) restaurant at the Menlo Park Mall in
Edison, New Jersey, on January 27, 2003. The highly customized
360-seat restaurant combines a dramatic 18-foot ceiling with the
distinctive Cheesecake Factory design features.
"Sales for our opening night in Edison exceeded our expectations,"
commented David Overton, Chairman and CEO. "This restaurant is our
third location in the New York metro market and represents the first
of as many as 14 new Cheesecake Factory restaurant openings planned
for 2003." Current plans are to open two more Cheesecake Factory
restaurants in this market during 2003 in West Nyack (Palisades
Center) and White Plains (The Source).
The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated operates 60 upscale, casual
dining restaurants under The Cheesecake Factory(R) name that offer an
extensive menu of more than 200 items with an average check of
approximately $15.78. The Company also operates a bakery production
facility that produces over 50 varieties of quality cheesecakes and
other baked products for the Company's restaurants and for other
leading foodservice operators, retailers and distributors.
