The Cheesecake Factory Prepares Ninth Annual Thanksgiving Day Feasts for Those in Need
Thousands of Cheesecake Factory Staff Members Will Volunteer to Serve Thanksgiving Dinner at The Salvation Army Locations Across the U.S.

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif., Nov 24, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- As unemployment and economic hardships continue to dominate headlines, The Cheesecake Factory(R) is honored to share its spirit of service and hospitality with the community this Thanksgiving. The Cheesecake Factory is preparing to serve its ninth annual holiday feast for The Salvation Army guests on Thanksgiving Day.

The Cheesecake Factory's Thanksgiving Day Feast will take place in 13 cities across the country including Anaheim, Calif.; Atlanta; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Ft. Lauderdale; Houston; Long Island, NY; Los Angeles; Miami; Phoenix; San Francisco and Washington, D.C. In total, more than 3,000 staff member volunteers from The Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux Cafe(R) will prepare and serve meals to more than 6,000 low-income individuals and families. The traditional holiday meals include freshly roasted turkey with all of the trimmings plus The Cheesecake Factory's famous Pumpkin Cheesecake.

In addition to the annual The Salvation Army Thanksgiving Day Feast, The Cheesecake Factory is committed to supporting hunger-relief causes in its communities. During the month of September, The Cheesecake Factory reached its goal of raising 3.5 million meals for Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Thousands of generous individuals donated through The Cheesecake Factory's special website during Hunger Action Month, and the restaurant also contributes a portion of proceeds from sales of its new Reese's(R) Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake. The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than $1.7 million to Feeding America over the past two years, which equates to approximately 12 million meals.

The Cheesecake Factory also participates in the "Harvest Program,"a nationwide food donation program where excess and unused food from its restaurants is regularly donated to qualified local and regional agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters.
